Helsinki, Finland – August 31, 2008  – Finland’s Minea Blomqvist claimed a one stroke

victory at the Finnair Masters, defeating her compatriot Ursula Wikstrom on home soil.

The Finnish pair, who began the last day tied for the lead with Italian Diana Luna, delighted the galleries with a mouthwatering final round battle at Helsinki Golf Club.

“It was very satisfying to see Minni win this tournament”, said Dieter Esch, the CEO for Wilhelmina Artist Management.  “When I watched her at the Women’s British Open recently, I knew that she would be the first of the W 7 players to win a tournament.  It shows that Wilhelmina chose the right group of athletes for the W 7.  These players are going to win a lot more tournaments in the future.”

Blomqvist edged Wikstrom with a final hole birdie for a round of six-under-par 65 and a 54 hole total of 11-under-par 202. Wikstrom, who also birdied the last hole, shot a five-under 65 to finish at ten under-par. Blomqvist’s victory was her second on the Ladies European Tour circuit and her first since winning the 2004 OTP Bank Central European Open in Hungary as a 19-year-old rookie.

“You can’t ask for more”, said the 23-year-old Finn. “Ursula and I played really well and it was a very good match which made it even more special.  When the match is great you enjoy it so much because you have to put all of your focus into it and just winning in front of your home crowd is something very special.”

Blomqvist birdied the third, fifth and ninth holes taking a two shot lead into the back nine, but Wikstrom drew within one shot after her birdie at the par-four 10th hole. When Wikstrom bogeyed the par-four 12th hole, Blomqvist sank a curling six foot birdie putt to move three shots ahead of her compatriot with six holes to play. Wikstrom responded with birdies at the 14th and 16th holes to pull to within just one stroke. Both players birdied the par-five 17th hole.

On the 18th hole both players hit superb drives and then Wikstrom sank a brilliant 30 foot birdie putt to put the pressure on Blomqvist.  Showing her class, the Finn duly converted her 10 foot birdie chance to seal the victory and a first prize of 30,000 Euros.

The W7 is comprised of women with the game, the beauty and the personality to create a major presence in women’s sports, both on and off the course. The ladies chosen include Minea Blomqvist, who competes on both the LPGA Tour as well as the Ladies European Tour (LET), and was awarded the 2003 Rookie of the Year Award and has finished in the top 10 on the Order of Merit List twice as a member of the LET Tour.

The other members of the W7 include LPGA Tour newcomers Sandra Gal and Anna Grzebien,  eight-year veteran Johanna Head, as well as Stacy Prammanasudh, who owns two career victories and played on the 2007 U.S. Solheim Cup team.  Mikaela Parmlid and Kim Hall, who started strong on the LPGA Tour this season, are both fully exempt for 2008.

The W7—seven talented, attractive LPGA players brought together earlier this summer in an unprecedented marketing campaign by Wilhelmina Artist Management—was formed because Wilhelmina, the celebrity division of the fabled Wilhelmina Modeling Agency, believes there is limitless endorsement potential for grouping these seven players. The W7 personifies Wilhelmina’s mission to provide exceptional service to its talent, while encompassing the company’s goal and vision of bold and dramatic marketing, advertising and sponsorship prospects for Wilhelmina’s corporate clients.

Visitors to ALLGOLFTV can see owners and inventors of some very innovative and fun products being introduced to the golf industry. Bob Carter of Flying Sensors ((www.FlyingSensors.com) introduced his new company to the golf industry by producing ground and areal coverage of the tournament at Badlands Golf Club for the PGA and Reed Exhibition. The production turned out so well that him and his team has been contracted to produce video overage of the 2009 PGA Merchandise show in Orlando, FL. This is a huge development for ALLGOLFTV and really adds to the overall value of our offerings and dramatically increases our potential for growth.

ALLGOLFTV was able to film some of the new product lines from Legendary Headwear such as their patented bamboo fiber hat. The hat is made from all natural fibers and is environmentally friendly. There is also footage on a revolutionary new patented shoe design that is expected to take the golf industry by storm. The Free-Release Golf Shoe is being introduced at a perfect time because of the injuries Tiger Woods is currently suffering. The Free-Release Golf Shoe ((www.free-release.com) reduces the stress in the spine from 560 Nm (Newton meters) to 6 Nm and helps to greatly increase a golfers distance and precision all while reducing the impact and stress on the feet, ankles, knees, hips, spine, tendons, and meniscus.

Bryan and Janet Cherry, inventors of the Cherrys Caddy, had their invention on display. A great pocket sized microfiber ball cleaning towel and ball marker in one is available online at www.CherrysCaddy.com. Markit-Golf had their debut at this years PGA show with the Markit-Golf club spray which allows you to see the point of impact on the club face by leaving behind a mark after the ball is struck ((www.markit-golf.com). There was another new product on display called “Swing Reminders”. These are wooden tokens with various reminders a golfer would find helpful during a round. Reminders such as “Square the Face” and “Be Smooth” are printed on the tokens and would make a great gift for any golf enthusiast.

Some recognized favorites were present at this years show. AboutGolf, makers of America’s #1 golf simulator was on display with their aboutGolf Launch Monitors. A leader in game and video technology, aboutGolf has proven to be a popular attraction at past PGA exhibitions. The Golf Academy of America was also present. Formerly the San Diego Golf Academy ((www.SDGA.org ) , they were at the show presenting their new name. Team Golf ((www.AlumniGolf.com) also had a booth showing off their complete line of collegiate licensed golf accessories which includes umbrellas, divot tools, bags, and head covers.

There is also a segment featuring Dusty O’Tyrrell with the Speed Chain. A fitness trainer which will tire even the fittest of athletes, the Speed Chain offers a simple, portable way to exercise one’s core and build better strength for you swing. Dusty is working on a reality show soon to be broadcast on ALLGOLFTV which will document his transformation into a fit and healthier person using just a few fitness trainers including the Speed Chain.

Golf Etiquette for Business

The Niceties of Golf

Several years ago, Mike Kanazawa played a pleasant round of golf with three other San Francisco area businesspeople—two of whom later became clients of his consulting firm, Dissero Partners. “We talked business some, but then we also talked about our families,” says Kanazawa, chief executive of the 20-person, $2 million company. “I wasn’t out there pumping for business.”

Golf is unique partly because it gives you so much time with a colleague, prospect, or client. “Can you imagine if I called someone up and asked to meet for five hours?” asks Jay Mona-han, executive vice-president of Boston consultants Fenway Sports Group. “With golf, that’s what you’re asking.”

Sleek Golf Releases the Revolutionary TPS Putter System

Sleek Golf delivers a USGA conforming playable training putter. Train, Play, Score.

Gahanna, Oh – Sleek Golf Equipment, LTD announces the new release of its innovative Training Putter System.  The putter is a training aid designed to correct putting errors and easily transforms into a USGA conforming competition putter. The TPS Putter System is engineered to put repetition and muscle memory into competitive play allowing golfers to close the gap between practice and performance.

The TPS Putter System is the only putting trainer of its kind to allow golfers to train and play the same club which significantly maximizes the results of practice. Providing more than just another training aid for your short game, the TPS system delivers an integrated weight management system to fine tune putting.  Not only does the putter meet training and play needs but it also portable, allowing golfers to practice before a round and be set to play 18 holes in a matter of seconds.

This unique putter system utilizes sets of guide rods of varying lengths to train a correct pendulum swing putting path, developing muscle memory from the start of the swing and throughout. The guide rods can be set in different arrangements to achieve the best practice scenario.  This training device is guaranteed to correct FACE-ANGLE errors which account for more than 80% of all putting errors. A perfect stroke is attained when a clean connection is made avoiding contact with the guide rods.

The true benefit of the TPS system is realized in the USGA conforming putter. The TPS easily transforms into your competitive putter and can also be weight balanced for non-competitive play. Every putter comes with a set of precision machined face plates for full customization of your short game. Golfers can choose to utilize SS, Copper Alloy, Brass, or Nylatron face plates to maximize the results of their putting.

Most training devices are cumbersome or simply do not translate repetition and training to real time results. The TPS Putter System is the only putter/trainer in the world to deliver both facets of the game and to do so, practically.  The TPS system comes with all the necessary components in a discrete carrying case that easily stores in any golf bag.  In addition to ease of use the TPS Putter System comes in a wide array of bold colors and styles that will match any golfer’s game.

Of the putters certain to take down competition is the TPS Sniper, a Camouflage Putter aimed at aligning your game with sharp shooter precision. You can get a great look at the TPS Putter System at www.sleekgolf.com .

Excerpt from Barney Adams book – The WOW Factor

Barney Adams, the founder of Adams Golf has written a new book called The WOW Factor.  I have provided an excerpt from chapter 16 of the book that I thought you might find interesting.  If you are interested in receiving a review copy of Barney’s book please let me know.   Mary Beth

From Chapter 16: In 1994 when Max Puglielli replaced me as the club fitter at The Haney Ranch I was able to take my fitting process on the road. During my travels I constantly analyzed my customers to determine how I could do a better job serving them. As I thought more about the concept, I realized that while my service was custom clubs the goal was better ball flight. There was no question that custom clubs were the vehicle but, if my customers could have improved ball flight by taking mud baths I would have been in the towel business.

My job was to make it as easy as possible to hit enjoyable shots. There was one particular area where I was failing ( along with everyone else)and that was the long shot played to the green with the ball on the ground…..The phrase “optimized ball flight” sounds good if you say it fast but what is it? The answer is not universal. The help you’d give Grandpa Barney and his 82mph swing speed doesn’t relate to his son Eddie who can hit one irons over a building. Being somewhat selfish I concentrated on Grandpa’s issues……

I’d like to say that I opened my computer and started working on a sophisticated design program right away. Two things would be missing from that equation though; a computer (which I did not own) and a clue about what one did. After all, this was eons ago early 1995 and even if some prankster had put a computer on my desk I wouldn’t have known how to turn it on, much less operate a sophisticated design program. I was familiar with a slide rule, but for technical tools let’s just say I didn’t measure up. So instead, I reached for one of the great inventions of all mankind, the yellow pad.

Check www.barneyadams.com  for his latest book selling venture.
